United States Seventh Circuit

US v. Harvey, 07-1308

Sentence for possession of a firearm by a felon is affirmed where: 1) the court has jurisdiction over defendant's appeal since Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 5(e) allowed the defendant's notice of appeal to be filed despite the violation of a local rule; and 2) defendant did not present enough evidence of duress to render a within-guidelines sentence unreasonable.
