In an appeal from a sentence for various offenses relating to defendant's attempt to sell the names of CIA agents working covertly in Iraq to the Iraqi Intelligence Service, defense counsel is relieved from his appointment to represent defendant in circumstances where, contrary to his representations to his client, he failed to file a petition for rehearing after the circuit court affirmed his sentence. Newly appointed counsel for defendant may file a petition for rehearing or motion to withdraw, as appropriate.
