United States Seventh Circuit
Bright v. Hill's Pet Nutrition, Inc., 06-3927
In a Title VII sexual discrimination case against plaintiff's employer, a judgment pursuant a jury verdict for defendants is reversed in part where the district court erred in instructing the jury that it could not consider anything that happened to plaintiff before March 29, 2002, approximately 300 days before she filed her charge, and could not consider any incidents related to certain pornographic images. The court reiterates that a hostile working environment is a single unlawful practice under Title VII, and a charge of discrimination based on such a practice covers all events during that hostile environment.
