United States Seventh Circuit

Convictions for armed-robbery and murder are affirmed in part where: 1) the district court did not commit clear error in resolving the bulk of the defendants' jury selection challenges under Batson; and 2) one defendant's Confrontation Clause challenge did not implicate the improper admission of testimonial evidence. The court orders a limited remand for supplemental factfinding because the district court did not put factual findings on the record regarding the credibility of the government's reason for striking a certain juror.
