United States Seventh Circuit
Grossman v. S. Shore Pub. Sch. Dist., 06-4294
In a civil rights suit brought against a public school district by a former guidance counselor alleging that its decision not to renew her contract was based on hostility to her religious beliefs, summary judgment for the district is affirmed where plaintiff was let go not because of her religious beliefs but because of her conduct, which included praying with students and throwing out pamphlets instructing in the use of condoms and replacing them with pamphlets advocating abstinence.
