Conviction for armed robber and brandishing a firearm is confirmed over defendant's arguments that the district court erred in not allowing him to withdraw his guilty plea since: 1) he mistakenly believed that he would receive a lower sentence based on a reduction for acceptance of responsibility; 2) his plea was not voluntary because the poor conditions in the jail in which he was being held, coupled with the close proximity of trial, forced him to plead guilty; and 3) the district court should have ordered a psychological examination based on concerns he had raised about his mental health at the plea and sentencing hearings.
