United States Seventh Circuit

Hunt Constr. Group, Inc. v. Allianz Global Risks U.S. Ins. Co., 06-4335

In an action by a construction company to collect on an insurance policy for delays in the construction of a terminal facility at the Detroit airport caused by heavy rains, summary judgment for defendant-insurer is reversed where the policy in question was not a "standard fire policy" under Michigan law, thus it was subject to the six-year statute of limitations applicable to contract actions for which no other limitations period is specified.
