United States Seventh Circuit

In a 42 U.S.C. section 1983 suit against the City of Chicago and two of its police officers, dismissal of the suit for failure to prosecute is affirmed where the court did not abuse its discretion in denying plaintiff's motion to reconsider based on excusable neglect since plaintiff's attorney had engaged in a pattern of delay and noncompliance with court orders that developed from the time the case was filed.
