In a suit challenging a tax deed obtained by a municipality on property occupied by a church, a preliminary injunction in favor of the church is vacated and remanded with instructions to dismiss the case for lack of subject-matter jurisdiction where: 1) the state courts were not closed to the plaintiff-church since it could still challenge a previous state court ruling with arguments for a retroactive tax exemption; and 2) the Rooker-Feldman doctrine barred plaintiff's remaining federal claims, which sought to overturn the state court judgment.
