United States Seventh Circuit

Talmage v. Harris, 05-3127

In a professional malpractice suit against an attorney who represented plaintiff in an unsuccessful insurance litigation, judgment for plaintiff is affirmed over plaintiff's arguments that the district judge erred in several evidentiary rulings and incorrectly denied punitive damages and reduced the jury award. Defendant's cross-appeal arguing that the court abused its discretion by not granting judgment as a matter of law is also denied.
