United States Seventh Circuit

Convictions for kidnapping are affirmed where a jury instruction correctly stated that transportation of a kidnap victim begins when the victim is first moved from the site of the abduction. Sentence for one of the defendants is vacated and remanded where an obstruction enhancement was improper since burying the victim's body was a part of the conspiracy, rather than a separate attempt to obstruct justice.
