In an appeal after a guilty plea on a charge of conspiracy to possess and distribute cocaine, defense counsel is ordered to provide a statement assuring the court that he consulted with the defendant as to whether the defendant wished to withdraw his guilty plea since: 1) counsel's original brief did not disclose this information; and 2) the court was unable to determine whether defendant appreciated and was willing to accept the associated risks of making such an argument.
