Denial of a petition for habeas corpus is affirmed over petitioner's arguments that: 1) the declaration of a mistrial in his first trial was inappropriate under the circumstances, and as a result he was placed twice in jeopardy for offenses arising out of a 1996 assault on a child; 2) the addition of charges relating to earlier assaults in his second trial amounted to vindictive prosecution; and 3) his right to a speedy trial was violated by the substantial delays involved in his final trial.
