United States Seventh Circuit
Williams Elecs. Games, Inc. v. Garrity, 05-4006
Dismissal on remand of a state law fraud claim after all federal issues had dropped out of the lawsuit is affirmed where the district court judge's invocation of a "presumption" in favor of relinquishing supplemental jurisdiction did not fatally contaminate his exercise of discretion to dismiss since he would have reached the same result on the proper grounds that the claim raised a novel or complex issue of state law.
