United States Seventh Circuit

Keith v. Barnhart, 05-2527

Denial of application for Disability Insurance Benefits is affirmed where: 1) petitioner did not present any evidence that the ALJ failed to follow the Social Security Administration's established procedures for selecting a medical expert; 2) petitioner did not present evidence to support his allegations that the court's refusal to exclude expert testimony and appoint a new expert constituted bias; and 3) routine efforts at courtroom administration, even if they reflect impatience, cannot sustain a claim of bias.
