U.S. v. Rinaldi, 05-4113
Conviction and sentence for mail fraud and obstruction of justice relating to an orthodontist's fraudulent billing of the state of Illinois during his treatment of wards of the state are affirmed where: 1) defendant could not prove innocence so as to negate a guilty plea; 2) the denial of a motion for continuance was neither unreasonable nor arbitrary; and 3) the sentence was not unreasonable.
