United States Seventh Circuit
U.S. v. Thigpen, 05-1866
A sentence for bank robbery under the career offender guideline is affirmed where the district court referenced three prior crimes that qualified on their face for the career offender enhancement, but a restitution order is vacated where the order transferred the district court-s responsibility for setting a restitution schedule to the probation office, which constituted plain error.
