United States Seventh Circuit
Adams v. Bertrand, 05-1573
Denial of habeas corpus petition is reversed where the petitioner's counsel failed in his duty to conduct a reasonable investigation by not locating and talking to a potential defense witness, an omission which created a reasonable probability that the outcome of the trial might have been different.
