United States Seventh Circuit

GOWER v. VERCLER, 02-4112

The district court correctly denied plaintiff's motion for directed verdict because the defendant-police officers did not lack probable cause for arrest since they were responding to plaintiff's threatening and abusive language, which violated an Illinois disorderly conduct statute.
