HYMAN v. TATE, 03-2106

The bona fide error defense of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act shields defendants from liability for mailing a collection letter to plaintiff after she had filed for bankruptcy; per the collection letter itself, a quick phone call immediately rectified the error.
