United States Seventh Circuit

US v. MERRITT, 02-4211

Defendant, convicted of possessing firearms and ammunition as a convicted felon, unsuccessfully appeals his conviction and sentence. Though the warrant lacked probable cause to issue, the good-faith exception to the exclusionary rule applies, as the executing ATF Agent acted in good faith and made every effort to comply with the Fourth Amendment.
