United States Seventh Circuit

JOHN DOE v. GTE CORP., 02-4323

In an action arising over hidden web cameras in school locker rooms, dismissal under the Communications Decency Act of 1996 is affirmed where defendant ISPs provided a service, not a chattel to the wrongdoers, and are therefore not liable under a theory of negligent entrustment of a chattel.
