United States Seventh Circuit

PIGGIE v. COTTON, 03-1067

In a section 2254 petition for relief from a battery conviction, the district court erred by not conducting an in camera review to evaluate whether a video of the battery was in fact exculpatory, or assessing whether the state had a legitimate security reason to withhold the tape in any event.
