MELTON v. MELTON, 02-2984

ERISA preempts Illinois state law with respect to determining the rightful beneficiary of group life insurance proceeds from decedent's employee benefits plan, and the named beneficiary has not waived her interest in the proceeds by terms of a divorce agreement.
