United States Seventh Circuit
TREJO v. SHOBEN, 00-3341
A non-tenured assistant university professor's 42 U.S.C. section 1983 claim, alleging constitutional violations in his discharge, was not actionable, where his speech was a matter of private concern and did not implicate the First Amendment. Summary judgment for the university on federal and Illinois due process claims is also affirmed.
