United States Seventh Circuit

ALLEN v. CHICAGO TRANSIT AUTH., 01-2101

Title VII racial discrimination in employment claims were actionable where the genuineness of an employer's noninvidious reasons for passing claimants over for promotion was called into question by substantial evidence. A retaliation claim was undermined by uncontroverted evidence of infractions and discipline prior to the employee's complaints.
