United States Seventh Circuit
US v. EBERT, 02-1235
In an inmate's conviction for assault and interference with a federal officer, defendant failed to show that his actions in resisting sedation were a reaction to imminent unlawful force, to justify a jury instruction on self-defense; government's pointing out inconsistency, between proposed instruction and defendant's representations, was not a stipulation that he lacked the intent to kick a correctional officer.
