United States Seventh Circuit

DALE. M. v. BD. OF EDUC. OF BRADLEY-BOURBONNAIS HIGH SCH. DIST. NO. 307, 01-3477

Although a statutorily authorized order of attorneys' fees awards the fees to the party, not to the party's lawyer, the district court has inherent authority over the party's attorney to order the return of attorneys' fees if the judgment awarding the fees is reversed.
