United States Seventh Circuit

MCGUIRE v. CITY OF SPRINGFIELD, 01-1852

Where plaintiff, who filed complaint of sex discrimination, was awarded back pay and seniority and placed in training program for position she desired, but was dismissed near the end of the program, dismissal could not be said to have been in retaliation for filing complaint, because she was still better-off with respect to the protected activity than she had been before filing complaint.
