CHICAGO DIST. COUNCIL OF CARPENTERS v. K&I CONSTR., INC., 00-3973

Boys Markets, Inc. v. Retail Clerks Union, Local 770, 398 U.S. 235 (1970) allows a district court to enjoin an union from striking only where the arbitrability of the dispute is a threshold question posing difficult problems of contract interpretation or where the court can determine resolve the arbitrability issue purely as a matter of law.
