US v. LANE, 00-4180

For purposes of 18 USC 922(g)(1), the felon in possession statute, evidence showing that felon held a gun is by itself a "factor indicating that the defendant had the ability to exercise direct control over" the firearm, even if a left-handed felon was merely inspecting a right-handed gun.
