United States Seventh Circuit

US v. MEYER, 99-1919

Defendant's trial counsel was not "ineffective" by failing to ask for a mistrial, or alternatively, a cautionary instruction, after a witness alluded to "murder cases," since the testimony would have tended to draw suspicions away from defendant, and supported his contentions.
