United States Sixth Circuit

US v. Reid, 09-5142

Convictions of a husband and wife for conspiracy to commit money laundering and related offenses, arising from a large-scale drug trafficking operation, are affirmed where: 1) the prosecutor did not improperly vouch for the witnesses; 2) the district court did not abuse its discretion in limiting the extent of the cross-examination of two prosecution witnesses concerning their adulterous sexual relationship; and 3) the district court did not err in the limitations placed on the character evidence offered by the husband, and the court did not improperly exclude evidence that the wife was charged in an attempt to pressure her husband to plead guilty.
