United States Sixth Circuit

Allen v. Astrue, 08-5342

In an appeal from the denial of Social Security disability benefits, the denial of benefits is affirmed, where: 1) the ALJ properly articulated his reasons for discounting Plaintiff's treating physician's opinion; and 2) a favorable determination in a subsequent benefits proceeding was not material evidence requiring a remand.
