A conviction and sentence for drug- and firearm-related offenses is reversed and remanded for a new trial where: 1) the district court erred by permitting the government to introduce evidence of defendant's prior drug convictions under Rule 404(b); and 2) the admission of the evidence violated defendant's right to receive a fair trial.
