Denial of a petition for a writ of habeas corpus in a capital case is affirmed over claims of error regarding: 1) invalid waiver of petitioner's right to counsel; 2) ineffective assistance of trial counsel; 3) Brady violations; 4) a failure to grant petitioner a separate trial from his co-defendant; 5) a due process violation due to admission of hair-matching evidence; 6) ineffective assistance of appellate counsel; 7) denial of a state-court forum in which to raise the ineffective assistance of appellate counsel claim; 8) a failure to disclose information relating to an affair between petitioner's co-defendant and a judge; and 9) whether his state trial judge should have recused himself.
