United States Sixth Circuit

In a Title VII suit alleging that plaintiff's employer discharged her on account of her gender, summary judgment for the employer is reversed where: 1) plaintiff established that she was replaced by a man, and thus she did not have to show that she possessed qualifications similar to those of her replacement; and 2) she created genuine issues of material fact with respect to the other elements of a prima facie case of gender discrimination.
