United States Sixth Circuit

US v. Gonzales, 06-3303, 06-3387

A conviction for possessing cocaine with the intent to distribute is affirmed over defendant's challenges to evidentiary rulings, the sufficiency of the evidence against him, and the effectiveness of his trial counsel. Also, defendant's challenges to his sentence are rejected, but the sentence is reversed pursuant to the government's challenge as the district court erred by failing to sentence defendant based on the full quantity of cocaine actually involved in the transaction at issue.
