United States Sixth Circuit

Denial of a petition for habeas relief in a murder case is affirmed over claims of error regarding: 1) a denial of a request for an evidentiary hearing; 2) a failure to timely dismiss a prospective juror for cause; 3) ineffective assistance of trial counsel for failure to obtain proper expert assistance during trial and mitigation; and 4) due process violations flowing from the sentencing opinion.
