United States Sixth Circuit
Michael v. Caterpillar Fin. Servs. Corp., 06-5750
In a suit against an employer alleging racial discrimination, retaliation and a hostile work environment, summary judgment for defendant is affirmed where: 1) plaintiff failed to raise a genuine issue of material fact as to whether defendant's proffered legitimate reasons for the various disciplinary actions taken against her were a pretext to mask either unlawful discrimination or retaliation; and 2) plaintiff failed to show that the alleged harassment was "severe or pervasive" enough to constitute a hostile work environment.
