United States Sixth Circuit
US v. Dixon, 05-6310
Defendant's conviction for drug- and firearm-related offenses is affirmed over claims that: 1) his attorney misinformed him regarding the maximum period of imprisonment possible in the event of a conviction, thereby rendering his subsequent guilty plea constitutionally invalid; and 2) a denial of his motion to withdraw his guilty plea was error, as he possessed a fair and just reason for withdrawing his plea.
