United States Sixth Circuit

Stallings v. Bobby, 05-3103

Denial of habeas corpus relief is reversed where a hearsay statement introduced at trial in violation of the Supreme Court's holding in Lilly v. Virginia, 527 U.S. 116 (1999), violated petitioner's right to confrontation under the Sixth Amendment, and the error was not harmless.
