United States Sixth Circuit

US v. Lawson, 05-6588

Denial of defendant's motion to suppress evidence obtained from a search of her luggage upon her arrival on an international flight at an airport is affirmed because customs officials did not need reasonable suspicion to x-ray her luggage during the "border" search, and they had reasonable suspicion that she possessed narcotics when they drilled a hole in, and cut the liner in, her luggage.
