United States Sixth Circuit

A sentence for transporting a stolen motor vehicle in interstate commerce and later selling the vehicle after it had crossed state lines is affirmed over claims that the district court erred by: 1) basing the sentence on judicially found facts; 2) improperly considering socio-economic status in determining an appropriate sentence; 3) failing to consider and discuss all of the factors listed in 18 U.S.C. section 3553(a); and 4) imposing a sentence that was twice as long as the high end of the sentencing guidelines range.
