United States Sixth Circuit
Satterlee v. Wolfenbarger, 05-2013, 05-2513
Judgments granting a conditional writ of habeas relief and later granting an unconditional writ are both affirmed, with instructions to clarify an ambiguity in the unconditional writ, over the state's meritless claims that: 1) defendant failed to exhaust state-court remedies and the district court made a clearly erroneous factual finding; and 2) the remedies of immediate release and expungement exceeded the district court's power.
