United States Sixth Circuit
Meridia Prods. Liability Litig. v. Abbot Labs., 04-4175
In a multi-district product liability case, summary judgment for defendants, a pharmaceutical company that marketed and distributed a diet-drug and its affiliates, is affirmed over claims that the district court: 1) failed to conduct a meaningful choice-of-law analysis; 2) erred in partly excluding the testimony of an expert; and 3) erred in granting summary judgment to defendants on various common law and statutory claims.
