The district court's conditional grant of a writ of habeas corpus is reversed on grounds that plaintiff-inmate failed to demonstrate a reasonable probability that, but for appellate counsel's failure to raise a Confrontation Clause claim on direct review, the claim would have prevailed and resulted in a reversal of his conviction.
