United States Sixth Circuit

INLAND BULK TRANSFER CO. v. CUMMINS ENGINE CO., 00-4222

A contract arbitration provision was enforceable, but because district courts only have power to compel arbitration within their own districts and the arbitration agreement called for arbitration in France, the district court did not err in denying a motion to compel arbitration of breach of contract, breach of warranty, negligence, and fraud claims.
