VERIZON NORTH, INC. v. STRAND, 01-1013
In an incumbent local telecommunications carrier's challenge to a Michigan Public Service Commission order, a tariff requirement was inconsistent with the provisions of the Telecommunications Act of 1996, and was therefore invalid as completely ignoring and bypassing the detailed process for interconnection set out by Congress in the Act.
