Where the evidence was not such that every reasonable juror would conclude that the defendants met their burden of showing they would have taken the same action against the plaintiffs even if the plaintiffs had not engaged in the protected conduct, summary judgment on plaintiffs' First Amendment retaliation claim was erroneous.
